Yesterday was Mother's Day. I love the mother of my children very much! Between cards and gifts and lunch and phone calls, Sue had a nice day celebrating being a mother.

She had lunch with her grandson Jordan and his mom and dad.

She got to hear her granddaughter Elliana crying long distance when she talked with Aaron in California. She had a nice phone visit with Natali for quite a while in Ann Arbor before she went on night shift at the hospital.

In the afternoon we stopped by Beacon Hill to see my mom. The weather was so nice that we took her outside to visit.

It may seem a little "dutch" to some people, but I had a hard time looking at Mother's Day cards, especially when it came to the outrageous prices. So I wrote a note to the mother of my kids, and put five bucks with it for her to spend anywhere (instead of spending it on a card that would be thrown away later). Oh, and for those who think me cheap and insensitive, there was also a gift of two more birthstone pendants added to her children's necklace, now starting on grandchildren.
I love Sue and see her as an example of as a virtuous women whose worth is far above rubies (Proverbs 31).
