Up North

During October, we've continued to travel around for meetings with supporting churches around Grand Rapids and "Up North" (that's pretty much anywhere north of Cadillac in Michigan). It has given us a chance to enjoy the fall colors, even though they signal colder weather ahead.
We went up north to Traverse City for one beautiful but blustery weekend on the bay .
The day before heading up north, we had Jordan for a day. Though all he wanted to do was go to our house and the pool, he was patient as we did errands and visited Great-grandma (who he loves to push around in her wheelchair).
This past weekend we were Up North again, this time for a meeting in Petoskey. It was just another half hour drive up to Mackinaw City and the straits so we took some time on Saturday to go further up north,
and then across the Mackinac bridge to the upper penninsula of Michigan.
Natali, Joel, Lynne and Jordan came along with us for this trip. It's been years since any of our kids went to meetings with us.
We had a good time together.
We got home in time for Halloween for Jordan to show off his "6-pack" as Captain America.
Sue fancied up as part of Jordan's entourage.
The next day brought us into Nnovember and a Happy Birthday for Natali! That was another first in six years - celebrating together.
She doesn't like cake so she had a giant cookie while Joel and I ate cupcakes.
