Shortly after I began writing this blog we received news that our granddaughter Elliana Grace was born to our son Aaron and his wife Rachel out in California. We are so happy for them...and happy for us too. And thankful that she is safely here and healthy. From reports we've gotten, everyone is doing well. Elliana means "God answers our prayers", Grace means "a gift from God", and she is definitely both. As the song goes, "Baby, you've got what it takes!" And this little cutie seems to have that.
The snow has started! Even though right now it's just the beginning, and just a little of the white stuff covering the ground, soon there'll be more!! Ooohhh noooo!!!
November 12 was our grandson Jordan's birthday. He is now four years old, and no longer a baby! This was the first birthday we've ever celebrated with him, and it was fun!
Everything was a surprise, and he was good at saying "thank you" even for clothes.
He's allergic to eggs, thus no cake, but he asked for special donuts to celebrate.
We celebrated Jordan's birthday on Friday night since we had to travel on the weekend. The first stop on Saturday was Ann Arbor, where Sue went to a baby shower for one of Natali's BFFs Debbie. Later that evening we went out to eat with Natali.
On Sunday we spent the day reporting about our work in Brasil at a church in the little town of North Adams - near the Indiana border - that has supported our ministry for thirty-three years. We had such a good time with the folks there. That night we drove back to Ann Arbor.
On Monday morning, after a tasty breakfast at the Bomber restaurant in Ypsilanti with Natali, we headed north.
In the town of Frankenmuth you find the largest Christmas store - Bronners. They have everything "Christmas" that you can imagine.
Just walking in, the sights and sounds and smells get you into a Christmas mood.
There are thousands of ornaments throughout the store. A couple hours wandering around, looking at everything in the store was fun.

After all this baby talk, I'm sure that very soon we'll be saying, "Baby it's cold outside!"
