Copa time!

Tuesday afternoon the sound trucks were driving around town playing the nat'l anthem, vuvuzelas, drums, sirens, whistles, fireworks...it was time for Brasil to play in the World Cup! Then everything in the country came to a halt, while Brasil tied the game.
We showed the game on the big screen at church, really two screens - one up front and another to the side. This is the third time we've shown the World Cup over the years of our church's history. There were about fifty people that came out.
Lots of popcorn and chips to eat and pop to drink while watching the game. And of course lots of cheering with each Brasil goal!
Next game's tomorrow afternoon, followed by evening service and church farewell for our colleague Sue.
