We are now official California residents. I got my driver's license and plates all in one morning. Going to the DMV made me fear that it would be like Brazil, but it wasn't! The process took me a morning, but I passed my tests and signed the papers and paid the fees and it was all done by lunch.
Starting off the month of February, Sue was busy with Rachel's friend Shenna preparing a baby shower.
Everything was purple and giraffes.
Sue made a cupcake cake of a giraffe with purple frosting.
The shower was with friends from Rachel's "Moms' Group". And there were plenty of hands to help open gifts!
They gave her a double stroller for soon-to-arrive Hanna and her big sister Elliana.
Hanna should be coming on the scene any day now. Meanwhile, we've been watching Ellie when her mom goes for her check-ups.
Valentine's day was something special, with flowers and lunch out (of course with the kitchen makeover going on, that was nothing new), but this time we splurged with frozen yogurt at Golden Spoon. That evening we even went out to a movie.
We had a redo on Aaron's birthday lunch too, since Islands (the place he wanted to eat) was closed for repairs on his day. This time it was opened and the food was great. So I guess he's officially older.
Ellie can officially communicate especially with "num,num" for cake!
