Remo

After five months of living in a house with a kitchen stuck in the '80's, we decided to invest and remodel.. The demo and remo started mid-January.  Access to the kitchen was sealed off for the next four of the five week process.
The 80's drop ceiling and incandescent lighting and the low laminate counters were on their way out.
Removing the drop ceiling was another step back in time, revealing popcorn ceiling and flowered wallpaper.
At times progress was slow and definitely messy, but it was progress.
New lighting, new counters and new floor in places where it was torn up or never was.
The best part was beautiful new counter tops, and then the new stove top and sink were installed.
Spot lights brighten up the kitchen with hanging lights over the counter and sink.
We were able to salvage most of the old tile
 and then incorporated new.
 Shallow porcelain sink out,
 stainless steel in.
We liked the new color of the cabinets, but the yellow color chosen for the walls was a bright shock, and quickly changed for a sage green.
The plastic curtain is now down giving a much nicer view.
 We are very happy!
Next project, paint over the mint green and turquoise accent walls in the living and dining areas.
