Tuliptime is an annual event in Holland, Michigan, but the festival doesn't begin until the first week of May. However, with the warm weather coming earlier than usual this spring, the trees are budding and flowers are blooming already.

We took an afternoon this week to travel over to Holland, and check things out with friends Jack and Paula Winn. The tulips were in full bloom everywhere from Kollen Park by Lake Macatawa with its Dutch Immigrants statue, up the streets and down the lanes of the city to Centennial Park in the center of town.

If you look closely at the next picture, the pattern of the tulips forms a dutch windmill. (you can click on the picture to enlarge it and see better)

The day and the flowers were beautiful, and we had a great time enjoying it all with friends.
