Our daughter-in-law Rachel knew how much Sue likes The Price is Right so she got us tickets to be on the show. So this past Monday we went.
It was about an hour and a half drive from Temecula to get there. We were able to get through Los Angeles after morning rush hour which wasn't bad (and compared to São Paulo traffic, pretty easy).
Once off the freeway, we drove down Melrose Avenue and right past Paramount Studios - an easy entrance to recognize.
No time for a tour there since we were advised to get to CBS Studios early with everything that had to be done just to get into the show.
It became a day of hurry up and wait in another line. There was plenty of time to visit with the people around us. Finally, after seven hours of standing or sitting in four different lines, an interview and confiscation of cellphone (no pictures allowed) we were ushered into the Bob Barker Studio.

The place was a lot smaller than it looks on TV! Before I went, I thought that the crowd cheering and yelling must be "canned", but quickly learned that along with all the instructions of do's and don'ts during the fliming, they got us psyched up before the show began, and we were yelling with everyone else until our throats hurt and our hands burned from all the clapping. Suddenly, an hour and a half later, it was all done.

Anyway, we didn't get called to "Come on down", but it was still so much of fun! Drew and George were funny! And two of the people we had met in line during the day made it to the final showcase showdown.
We did get plenty of camera time though, especially when the girl in the row behind us got called down (she won a Triumph motorcycle), and "beautiful Rachel" stood next to us to present one of the showcase prizes. Our show airs on March 14. Leaving the parking lot at the end of the day, we ran into David Spade (not literally). He's a little guy.
