Snow Day

Being Michigan, we knew it had to happen sooner or later...the snow blew in last night and during the day today. So, what do you do when that happens? Stay inside and scan some old pictures.
Some go all the way back to 1947. Bill comes home from the hospital to be greeted by his sisters. They never suspected what was in store for them. Muahahaaa!
As I remember it, the summer of '48 was a good one, going to the Lake Michigan beach.
The following year Sue arrived. What a cutie doing the wave!
Always with a good sense of humor, which she really needed many years down the road.
A few years ago there was a song called 1973, remembering what went on that year. In '73 we were in Bangladesh.
Sue's family Christmas shot later that year. Interesting clothes...especially the plaid pants and flowered shirts!
Soon our first born came on the scene. A great place to hear a good story was on Grandma Dykstra's lap.
Those quiet times ended when we moved to Brazil and a sister and brother joined the party. Even with a screaming kid on her lap Sue maintained that good sense of humor.
Later that year we moved to the Amazon, a place with the most outstanding sunsets (click on the slide to blow it up).
In the old days, all missionary slide shows during furlough in the states had to end with a sunset, so that's what I'll do here.

Love the pictures. I guess when my little baby is a screaming baby, we know which parent it comes from - he he!!
