Thanks to all the Moms- mine included! Mother’s Day was busy, but all the work over the past few weeks that was put into the festivities was worth it. The church was nicely decorated and filled with families.

The men and teens came through on the food - a veritable banquet, so no one went away hungry. The mom’s enjoyed their presents.

We’ve had a project over the past few weeks of collecting jars, and Sue made up decorative tops and fixed a special cappuccino mix to put in them. There were forty-eight moms there and forty-seven gifts so Sue gave up hers (but we had some cappuccino mix left over at home so it was alright).

Every part of the worship service was encouraging and challenging. It was a just a great time.

These days, along with regular sermon preparation, visitation, leading the teen group and a small group, there have been pastoral planning meetings for the church merger. Twice each day I check in on the workers putting down the new floor at the new church building. It's one big area when you're laying tile. The floor will be finished by next week Tuesday, at which time painting and moving furnishings in from both churches will start. Life’s seldom dull these days!

And then there’s that cute little grandson of ours who is now sitting up by himself. Seems like he’ll be all grown up the next time we see him!
