If you can't imitate him, don't copy him

A cute little guy used to wander around the Amazon jungle carrying my tools…what happened to him?

He’s living in California and just passed all the tests to earn his first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
It was an extreme sport challenge to say the least for Aaron that went on over four days, but he didn’t give up and succeeded!
Kendo (sword) fighting

sparring with his sein sei (instructor)

Way to go, Son!

The week before, his wife Rachel earned black belt candidate title in Tae Kwon Do. Congratulations to you Rachel! She’s also runs marathons and does capoeira (a mix of Brazilian kick box and dance).

The happy couple!

They tell me I should start up with a program like that, but I’m afraid something on or in me would lock up just trying it. Here we seem to settle for having folks over to eat and visit like last Friday with Mario and Marta and Reginaldo and Ester,

or going to someone else’s house to eat and play table games like yesterday (a Brazilian holiday) at colleagues Tim and Andrea Blazer’s house in the country.

At church, our month of competition for memorizing Bible verses comes to an end this Sunday. Right now, it looks like the young people are going to win and therefore the adults will have to prepare and serve them dinner. We thought that this past weekend being a holiday weekend, numbers would be down, but there was a good group out and lots of people memorized verses. We’ll see what happens this Sunday.
